AER AGREY // ART DIRECTOR 

Hello, my name is Aer (pronounced Eye-Air). I manage the controlled chaos of the Art Department. I'm pretty gifted at it. I benefit from a Northern American film aesthetic and management savviness, pollinated with UK Art Department artistry, practices and procedures. Creating processes of Transoceanic design style with innovative efficiency and vigilant organisation. 

 

Instilled with Film Gypsy impulses, accoutered with Canadian//Australian dual citizenship, and married to a UK national with indefinite leave to remain; traveling for work, and 'becoming local', is second nature. I've worked in the film and television industry, covering four continents, for the better part of my life.

Being passionate about all aspects of filmmaking, I've honed skills from experiencing different film managerial and coordination roles. I have a well rounded perspective, experience and appreciation of Film, Television, Commercial Production, Post Production pipelines and delivering on budget and to schedule.

 

For the past several years I have been 100% focussed on Art Directing – I see it as an intersection between pure creative vision, and management, which I find the most joyous place to be. 

 

As an Art Director having worked in other departments, I am able to implement planning and designs in a way that does not impact unfavourably on the diverse disciplines required to bring the Director’s Vision and the Production Designer’s imagination to fruition.
